How to enable location services?

Enabling Location Services for Go·OHV

Can't see your location on the map and getting a "Geolocation permission not granted" error? This guide will help you enable location services so Go·OHV can access your GPS position and show you accurately on the trail map.
🔐 Privacy Note: Go·OHV only uses your location to show your position on trail maps and enable location sharing features. Your location data stays private and is only shared with riders you specifically authorize.

📱 For iPhone Users

Step 1: Open iPhone Settings
  • Tap the Settings app on your home screen (it looks like a gear icon).
Step 2: Find Location Services
  • Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security.
  • Tap Location Services at the top of the list.
Step 3: Enable Location Services
  • Make sure the Location Services toggle at the top is turned ON (green).
Step 4: Find Go·OHV App
  • Scroll down through the app list and tap Go·OHV.
Step 5: Set Location Permission
  • Select While Using App or Always (recommended for best trail experience).
  • Make sure Precise Location is toggled ON.

🤖 For Android Users

Step 1: Open Android Settings
  • Swipe down from the top of your screen and tap the Settings gear icon, or find Settings in your app drawer.
Step 2: Find App Permissions
  • Tap Apps or Application Manager (varies by Android version).
  • Find and tap Go·OHV in the app list.
Step 3: Access Permissions
  • Tap Permissions or App Permissions.
Step 4: Enable Location
  • Tap Location.
  • Select Allow all the time or Allow only while using the app (recommended for best trail experience).
  • If available, make sure Use precise location is enabled.

🔧 Still Having Issues?

If you're still getting location errors:
  • Make sure you have a strong GPS signal (step outside if indoors).
  • Check that your device's GPS is enabled in system settings.
  • Try restarting the Go·OHV app.
  • Ensure you have an internet connection.
